Whatever I do i cannot duplicate the problem, each moog works totally independent from the other and is not affected by any controller not legally assigned to it.ĮDIT after reading the question with more diligence. So either I'm lucky or did things different but cannot confuse the 2 moogs by assigning the same knob.ĮDIT: I just tried something else I missed above and assigned cutoff to moog 1, and moog 2 was not affected and had no assigned control. I also tried automating and still have no issues. The same knob (knob 1) alters cutoff and glide on each channel independently so no problem. Track 2 has knob 1 assigned to Glide on moog 2.īoth parameters work independently from knob 1 with no confusion as to what each should do. Track 1 has knob 1 assigned to cutoff on moog 1 Then I tried assigning knob 1 to adjust 2 different parameter on each moog. No problem or crossover between both moogs. Track 1 has cutoff assigned to kob 1 on keyboard controller (Nektar LX61) Track 2 set to channel 2 (not that it appears to matter as mentioned above?) Track 1 set to channel 1 (but no means to assign channels on the moog?) I can use my controller´s knobs on just one VSTi. But when working with different VSTs on different tracks this just destroys the sounds. Again: this could be desired in some situations (see above). Mixcraft changes VSTi parameters on a different, not selected track. I tried chibear´s suggested workaround with different MIDI channels for each track, but Mixcraft ignores the channel message. repeat the midi assignment for track 2 with the same midi controller knob. save your multiple instrument at the top- insert two virtual midi instrument tracks, here MinimogueVA redefine you range with oct +/- in each tracks got to stack inside omnisphere and give your instruments different ranges like in screen just use one midi track for your omnisphere. So you still have to start and stop midi from different midi tracks but your knobs of omnisphere are all placed in 1 midi track. default is instrument 1 is channel 1, instrument 2 is channel 2. and below you choose the channel for the correct instrument. Than you go to each midi track in live in the midi section, there ou change in section Midi to to your track which inholds your omnisphere instrument. So if you see eg a note symbol, then '3 D2 60' your controller is transmitting on MIDI channel 3 (and would be triggering Part 3. The transport indicates incoming MIDI data, including the type (Notes, PitchBend etc), the values (eg note number and velocity) and the MIDI channel. Load all your instruments in the different tracks inside omnisphere ( if you try it with the default instrument somehow it wont play a sound) Play the keyboard, watch Logic's transport display. Create as much midi tracks as instruments you want to play in omnisphere. Keep in mind I need to be able to do everything without touching my computer. be able to record a loop at any given time - let's say predefined as a 2 bar loop, but I would like the option to record a 4 bar loop be able to change the instrument of these omnisphere instances on the fly be able to switch between these omnisphere instances on the fly preload 4 instances of omnisphere to my set (1 instance per ableton MIDI track) So the second best option for me would be: I'm assuming there's no way to do this, because a track in ableton can only have one instrument at a time. However, what I'm trying to do is be able to record loops on the fly, while also being able to switch through instruments. I know it is possible to have one instance, load a different instrument in each omnisphere channel, and then assign a MIDI switch to change channels. I really enjoy using omnisphere, but I can't figure out a way around having to load multiple instances of it.
